This glorious, flavoursome curry originally came from the Portuguese who brought a dish of pickled pork to Goa where the addition of local spices created a complete amalgamation of influences.  This curry is spicy, but not blisteringly so and has a sourness from the vinegar, tomatoes and tamarind.  It's complex, different and delicious.

Ingredients (allergens in bold)

Pork shoulder, onion, tomato, tamarind, palm sugar, Kashmiri chilli, cumin, coriander, mustard seeds, black pepper, cinnamon, turmeric, cloves, cardamom, garlic, ginger, red wine vinegar

Heating Instructions

Defrost your frozen food thoroughly in the fridge before reheating gently in a saucepan on the stove until piping hot all the way through. Alternatively, you can reheat from frozen on the hob, but use a low heat and keep an eye on it.
